After TransCorp identifies an opportunity, a capital commitment is made. Often, these investments follow a hockey stick or J-curve and may not begin to yield a positive return for some years. In other cases, the group's investments already generate good cashflows. For instance, two ofb the group's current investments, TransCorp Hilton and NITEL, were going concerns at the time they were acquired. They have maintained the generation of cash flow. Presently, TransCorp is implementing innovative processes, stringent internal controls and introducing new products and services at both companies to increase the profitability of their operations.
In addition to these two, other business focus areas are receiving intense attention to identify the right opportunities that can be turned into wealth generating vehicles for TransCorp shareholders. TransCorp is dedicated to creating shareholder value through each of its investments by identifying the right investments and making the most sound judgments in terms of how much to invest .
